Another one from Blighty...

Really showing my age here but the guy on the right looks like Michael Miles from Take Your Pick smile
Mr. Michael Miles, the then famous T.V. personality, taking delivery of his new Herald Coupe was reported in the Standard Triumph Review in April 1960. Also in the picture are Mr C Saville, Sales Director, and Mr J Thomas, Sales Manager, of Berkeley Square Garages Ltd, London

Round the back at Tasca Ford, Summer '67...

Loving these photos. Has anyone got a time-machine? Imaging popping back to the 50s/60s... just to look around car parks at the gems on show.

Stockport, Underbank.
Ford LTD front and centre, guessing 73/74 or later judging by the plastic grille wearing Cortina further up the road.

Nelson, Lancashire
Early 70's?

Foley Motors in Kidderminster 1972, apparently. The pic owner got a Clan for his 21st!!

I got all misty at the thought of going into a showroom to buy a new Clan or Scimitar SE5

Alvis.

The 'church window' rear lights will tell Alvisians which model. A TD21?

When I typed Alvis my phone decided I meant Elvis.

I love these old photos, as has been mentioned, if only you could go back in time and have a look around. In fact I doubt I would bother to come back.
Oddly I have no desire to go out today and look at any new cars....

These are also known as cathedral rear lights. Used on certain Humbers and Aston Martins

Yes, I had them on mine when they weren't being reproduced. I made silicone rubber molds and poured in coloured runny Araldite. They were okay. Too labour intensive to make a business but good to know solutions can be found. Where there's a will and all that.

Definately Dover.
A SRN4 in the background as well.

I'd say summer of 1969, poss 1970, but not later than that I reckon.

Must be 1988/89 ish as some of the background cars are on F plates, Granada Coupe looks tidy for its age but last taxed in 91 according to DVLA.
Anyone recognise the location?
Judging by the caff and where the trucks are parked up, I'd say that was Snetterton
