Small Faces but massive ears. Ian McLagan
True, but 'Watcha Gonna Do About It'...? wink

The pic with the MGA was taken in Pimlico where the band shared a flat for a couple of years, it was pretty much 'party central' and drove their neighbours up the wall.

Outside the Lamborghini factory in 1967, left to right : Colin Chapman, Jim Clark, Giampaulo Dallara, (possibly) Paulo Stanzani and Ferruccio Lamborghini...

Thats a new picture I havent seen of that particular late 60s visit by Lotus to Lambo in its prime. I have often thought it must have sown the seeds in ACBCs mind for his desire to move upmarket; Miura/Jarama/Espada = Esprit/Eclat/Elite. Coincidence?

When I listen to 'Lazy Sunday' in the car I'm struck by the loud intrusion of the term 'w@nker' (probably by S. Marriott) which I never detected in my youth (and I'd have tried, believe me). Modern sound systems and their myriad of speakers?

After the Queen biopic, and now several others to follow, how soon before this crowd get their (deserved) turn, and will Don Arden get his proper billing?

As you were..

In a similar vein, just before the 'nah, nah, nah, nana nah nah' bit starts in 'Hey Jude' John Lennon can be heard saying ''f*ckin' hell'.

Apologies for continuing to veer off topic!

OK I'll start the bidding. I know nothing about trains but I do know that that is a Mk V Cortina launched in the summer of '79 - so I'm going for winter 1980.

You'd have thought West Midlands would be a bit more BL than Ford?

It's Trivton Parva Gaol for you Dicky my lad!

I've been trying to pin down exactly where that pic was taken, I sign all of the electrified routes in the West Mids bar one so it'll be a route I've driven over regularly. I think it *might* be Tile Hill north of Coventry but the photo is almost forty years old and the lineside looks very different now.

I think there is something odd about this picture. Unless they were observing the rail line, or taking a break, why would they park that way round, with the rear of the car against the tree?

Maybe they were going to jump the track, but then a train turned up.

The signal has a position one junction indicator, so not Tile Hill.
