They're still there today but the old cooling towers are long gone.
The chimney's are long gone, demolished with the cooling towers and the rest of the old brick/concrete framed turbine hall several decades ago.67Dino said:
Absolutely. May even have knocked the Lagonda Taraf off my dream list in the 4-seater category. One for the ‘Cars I didn’t know existed’ thread too....
I'm not sure it actually exists though. Apparently Ares will relieve you of $875,000 of you fancy one, but I'm not sure any have seen the light. They've got another "classic modern" car up there sleeve if you have another $1.2m you want to get rid of - an 790bhp 250GTO based on an 812 Superfast. I can't imagine Ferrari are too pleased with this nonsense.https://www.motorauthority.com/news/1119079_ares-d...

Poor quality I know as taken from a home video. Personal car of actor Stan Richard's who played Seth Armstrong in Emmerdale. Taken outside the old "Woolpack" pub in the village of Esholt, West Yorkshire on his arrival for filming scenes for episodes in 1994 (shortly after Butch Dingle made his debut in the show). I think I stopped watching that drivel about 20 years ago
Saab 900s (particularly the pre-face lift/flat nose models) must be getting pretty rare nowadays. These were very good cars for the time IMO. My dad owned two 900s, one like the below and a 3 door hatchback Turbo (both early flat nose models), both of which of in the early 90s had done well over 100,000 miles and still performing well.
469 standard 900S still taxed or SORN; maybe 2500 of all variants. Numbers have stabilised in the past five years, so there is obviously love for them out there.Saab 900s (particularly the pre-face lift/flat nose models) must be getting pretty rare nowadays. Grandad polishing his Morris? 1100 sometime around 1962. Dad seems to remember him ordering this car when they were launched and having to wait around a year for delivery. He apparently loved that car and was distraught when it was condemned with rot around 8 years old.
The Matchless in the background was dads, the bike is still around and is on the road somewhere. We saw the bike for sale at an autojumble needing a total restoration about 15 years back. Dads never been that sentimental and thought the seller was asking too much for it so passed on buying it back!
