I must try to do something about the way these are scanned, I am sure I'm not doing justice to whoever took these. Sometimes they're so blurred there's no point scanning them, and sometimes they're fine.

Hmmm.......multiple Vixen's at an airshow, circa late 1960's could mean one of the displays by 'Simon Sircus', the 6 x Sea Vixen formation display team of 892 RNAS that flew a number of airshow displays during the summer of 1968.

Found this in my dad's papers.

Maserati 4CLT ?

Dad used to go to Goodwood fairly regularly in the 50s but that isn't his writing.

Had to look up "de Graffenreid." Baron Emmanuel 'Toulo' de Graffenried was a Swiss racing driver who died in 2007.

I think it's a 4CLT/48 Dicky, looks very close to one of the cars in Dicky Crump and Rob de la Rive Box's 1983 book 'Maserati Sports, Racing & GT Cars From 1926'. It's thought twelve were built and they were modified quite a lot as the years passed, being raced until 1951.

Lovely photo - got any more such treasures...?

(bad move digging out the aforementioned book - I need a Maserati in my life now).

Dicky Crump. Marvellous name.

Loads of photos amongst the old boy's papers, P5B. They're all curled and few have any clues written on them. We'll have a Quiz Night in the winter.

Granturismos look like good value at the moment.
