Its a Volvo P1800.
One of the British ones, built by Jensen.
That's impressive ! How can you tell it's a Jensen built one ?

Brighton/Hove seafront, Fordson van, Jowett Javelin, Victor (FB?) MG T?, Mk2 Consul.
I reckon your Jowett could be a Renault ? And it's an FA Victor
Pedant mode, the Victor was never an FA is it was f series then FB, FC etc.

Correct - the so-called "cow horns".

What's the elderly and rather majestic lady turning into oncoming traffic on the left? Half out of shot?

Rover? Alvis?

I think it might be an early fifties Rolls Royce Silver Wraith.

I'd say the 'Fordson' is a Bradford, I'd agree a Renault next to the F Model Victor.

The bodies were made by Pressed Steel at Linwood before the factory went over to making Hillman Imps. (It is possible that they made both bodies at the same time for a couple of years).

I remember going past the factory and seeing the Volvo bodies outside and for some reason remember them as being gold/bronze coloured.

The Fordson/Jowett is definitely a Fordson E93W. The Javelin/Renault is an enigma. I've enlarged the photo as best as I can but it starts to become blurred - it's neither car and it could be a Morris Oxford MO with badges on the bumper which look like a radiator embellishment.

I recon it could be a Peugeot 203?

There's no grille on the one in the pic. Or certainly not like the Peugeot.
