I may sound like a heathen but that Espada looks very ungainly! And what's with all the tins of STP?
You dutty dutty person! If you've ever seen an Espada in the flesh, it is a true thing of beauty.aeropilot said:

looks like a Signal Orange MK 3 Cortina as well?
Vista Orange rather than Signal Orange, but yes a rare colour to be seen on a Mk.3 as it was only introduced in the summer of 1974.Turbobanana said:

^is that a Celica at top of shot?
Such a nicely proportioned car. Probably well built too.
Yes. More importantly, is that an NX panel being delivered? Nij Such a nicely proportioned car. Probably well built too.

Certainly looks like a Mk1 Coupe to me, complete with Wing Mirrors (not Door Mirrors). Fantastic looking cars - a yellow one was always parked on a gravelled drive to a big house near us. Looked a class above the usual BL/Ford/Vauxhall fare back then. The Liftback was equally as fabulous.Such a nicely proportioned car. Probably well built too.

I'm trying to work out where it is from the track plan, it looks familiar but I'm stumped!JeremyH5 said:
Now I’ve looked at Wikipedia I see that I have it wrong. The liftback was introduced a couple of years after the coupe on the same era version. Same front end as that yellow coupe. Because it looks so different at the rear I had formed the belief it was a Mk2 version.
I want a liftback. A mate's hot mum had a red one back in the dayTyre Smoke said:

+1. I wonder how many are left and what spares are like, though. This is from Toyota's own website - they got increasing ugly, sadly, as the generations passed.
My uncle had a silver one, that he resprayed black. He kept it right through the nadir/inverted bell-curve era of Celica value, so I strongly suspect it lives yet. Reg was BMH666, or something like, which I always thought was slightly tempting fate.I still have a soft spot for the '80s fourth generation version, when Toyota really got their act together. Never owned one. I do have a Supra gearbox in my TR6 though
