<clip> It's SGT (Station Garage Taplow)in 1977 where I worked a long time ago. Second left with the King Lionels is Tony Tapping, far right by the Alfetta is Alan Langton who founded SGT with his older brother Philip. I'm not sure who the chap on the bike is, or what the bike is - I thought it was a Kawasaki KZ1000 but I'm not 100%.

I bought a couple of Alfa's from SGT and had a couple more (not bought there) serviced by them. Great people and a lovely place to browse round; morgans, Lotus and Alfas (yes I know they had Mitsubishi too but they were of little interest). smile

The Bentley and the Rolls Royce are probably owned by the group's company Apple Corp.

Funny how we see all the exotic stuff in a photo and yet we get all frothy over what was, even at the time, white goods.

He's probably a bit confused - Italian men have mistresses on four wheels, French men have them on two legs hehe

Nothing. The Cortina Lotus (Mk2 Cortina) didn't have quarter bumpers. The Lotus Cortina (Mk1 Cortina) did.

Mid '60s....

No earlier than '79, the year the Mini Special was launched to celebrate twenty years of production, as well as the go faster stripes, centre console and vinyl roof it was the first 'round nose' Mini to be given the 1098cc engine....
