Western Courier I believe? It used to do the Motorail run on Tuesdays while Alf choked up the wheels of the cars.

And a R30 just poking its nose in on the left. Same colour as mine, but before I imported it. I thought it was obligatory to have a R16 in all these photos ?

My guess would be it's a VX Carlton or Opel Rekord - but I may well be wrong!

I think you're looking at the first one I thought people were talking about, the coupe is further back from the camera and a lighter blue colour.

I think you’re looking at the nearer one with the orange indicator, and I agree it’s a Carlton. The one under discussion is in the background over the top of the roof of that one.

Exactly. The one far right is the Cav Coupe in light blue like this one although I thought it was available as the Opel Manta Coupe in the UK back then?

The Bentley nearest the camera was MOTd until August 2018 with 2,110 miles on the clock.

I was trying to pin down when they switched it from a Vauxhall- to an Opel-badged car. I guess it was around about when the 'Mark 2' Cavalier was launched.

They were a lovely car, one day our neighbour in Leeds came home in a brand new orange one after years of very ordinary motors. It was definitely badged an Opel. Probably mid Seventies?
