Saw this parked at Brands Hatch, years back. Spectacular looking thing and the basis of the Dino 206 / 246. Edited by P5BNij on Wednesday 22 January 13:05
(Meant to add - I think the P365 is one of the best looking creations Pininfarina ever did)

Not quite , the Dino 206 prototype was ready to be shown at the Paris Salon show on 10th October '65, before the P365 was built

Ah, yes, that'll be the one. You're right though - it is stunning.Edited by P5BNij on Wednesday 22 January 13:05

Cowley Road, Brixton, late '60s...
Earls Court, December '62...
The new Westway at White City in July 1970, passing underneath is a northbound empty coal train from Chelsea Wharf to Acton Yard with one of Old Oak Common depot's recently arrived Brush Type 2 / Class 31s... the open grassy area top right is at the back of Wormwood Scrubs...

The areas immediately next to the Westway look very different now with all the new BBC office blocks in place of White City Stadium and on the other side of the Westway, and the road bottom right, that was partially demolished for the Westway, has now all long gone.aeropilot said:

Several episodes of 'Minder' were filmed in and around this area between 1979 and 1983 and much of it looked very run down, everything looks brown and very drab.
Yep, and they used the Cash n Carry warehouse belonging to my old school mate for a lot of the filming of it (as Arfur's lockup) in that period. His warehouse was in Hythe Rd, off of Scrubbs Lane, opposite what was then the old RR Mulliner's factory. I used to often see George Cole there when visiting my mate at his Dad's place.keeef said:

Odd. Do you have anything to prove it (do the owners club have records of production dates for Vin numbers, if the paperwork is missing?)
Well, original index mark was an M plate (ROL471M). All manufacturer's records were destroyed in a fire unfortunately.
I assumed DVLA would have a record of the original index mark against the private plate?

You would assume so - they certainly do now, because when you transfer a private plate they reissue the original. If you can show the original reg, they also DO know that ROL was issued in 1973 on an M Suffix (I found that out in about 30 seconds)... I just don't get why they would not want the records to be correct! It's not like you're trying to gain anything!
I never have understood DVLA and their way of working and I guess I never will.It has been suggested that the date of first registration is more to do with the date the old buff logbook was updated to a V5, rather than the date the private plate was put on the car, which is a possibility.
I wonder what would happen if I requested a V5 using ROL471M?

Bath Green Park station in the '70s, once the terminus of the Somerset & Dorset Railway which connected the old Midland line from Bristol with Bournemouth, closed in 1966...
Having regularly rode the Bristol-Bath cycle path over the last twenty odd years, I have only just realised this was the old terminus. I did once park there all day and got a ticket though. I'm not sure how it links with Bournemouth though?Gassing Station | Classic Cars and Yesterday's Heroes | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
