Centre Photo... I wonder if that’s where Panther got their inspiration from for the ‘six’.

A different take on the six wheel concept.
( No expense spared on the photo shoot either) rolleyes
A 'photographic backsheet' aka a grubby dust sheet, was standard practice back then.
Still used today - makes removing the background much easier. And yes, they could do that before Photoshop.

Me and my dad with his new Victor, 1959 Isle of Wight:
Fabulous period colour shot....

Two tone Victor, and marvellous Art Deco apartment block with its orginal Crittall windows and other original features.

You're all missing the point. It's not a picture of some old racing car - it's the Turin shroud undercover.

Lotus, McLaren and Matra all tried 4WD cars in the late 60s. The Lotus drivers mostly refused to drive theirs, Hill and Rindt both declaring it a 'deathtrap'.
And Cosworth
I noticed the others when I searched for the Ferguson which was the only one I recalled, One site did say 4x4 was banned in F1 but the general consensus seemed to be that it didn't work. Maybe the technology wasn't up to the job then.
Challenge of controlling F/R torque distribution before fully active systems. Unless traction limited, RWD is a better option for race cars especially if their weight distribution is biased rearwards (eg rear mid-engined). But fully active 4WD should be an advantage in wet conditions.
Yes they banned 4 wheel drive and they banned more than 4 wheels. I was reading about the fan car that basically sucked itself to the track. That was also banned

The Brabham.... any debris that it sucked up, was thrown out behind it too.

Don’t forget Chaparral fan car...

Not the only one. The Cherry's back window is broken, and there's at least one tree down further up the road.

Looks like the Cherry survived to 1992 so damage must have been limited.
