A little bit of showing off goes a bit wrong.

There was a similar one of a Lambo on the interweb recently doing exactly the same thing. I really have no sympathy, except for the householder who has had his wall destroyed. Yesterday here, a youngster booted his car, saw there was a speed hump, braked, lost it, flew off the hump and destroyed not only his car but a lamp post as well. Both are write-offs. As aforesaid, put a 700 bhp (or whatever) motor in a 60's chassis without serious suspension mods is asking for trouble.

He booted a 600 bhp car with a Sixties chassis whilst not lined up and then ran out of skill.
He abruptly backed off, and the Posi rear end then turned him sharp left............which is why anyone with half a brain wouldn't show-off like that in the first place as you know what's going to happen if you suddenly back out of the throttle (or you should know!!)Simple physics at work with no nanny electronics to collect it all for you

The kid driving it was borrowing it from a father and son as they couldn't make it to the show.
Apparently he got a good slapping around for being so careless.
Oh dear..........Apparently he got a good slapping around for being so careless.
Double fail then.
Idiot owner for letting another less experienced idiot behind the wheel un-supervised.
Another fkwit Mail article: “But one over-excited motorist ploughed his pristine vehicle into a brick wall in front of dozens of onlookers on Sunday - destroying the right headlight and bumper and stripping off a layer of paint”.
I think he destroyed a bit more than that from the footage.
And the references to a “vintage vehicle”. Give me strength...

What a headknob. He could easily have killed someone. I hope the insurers see the video and the rest of us won’t pay for his stupidity. Nice car minus the view obstructing blower.
You sound like a barrel of laughs. Everyone makes mistakes, no one died despite many people saying what if and blowers out of old American metal are cool!
I am a barrel of laughs generally but it’s hooning like this that gets events cancelled. Build a drag type car and I don’t know take it somewhere straight and drag it. I have owned a V8 engined American truck with a Posi rear end and when I fancied a burnout went to a quiet industrial estate and did a burnout. Not in a residential street where people were walking about. If he had killed someone would it have been “ cool innit”. Stand by my initial comment “ what a knob heard”.
While there were a couple of people giving it a bit of throttle leaving the show, he was the only one who really went for it, and the general consensus of people there was that he was an idiot.
Hopefully it won't make a dent in future ones, it's a good show with lots of variety. With any luck the fact it's a volunteer/charity event will temper any kneejerk reactions from local NIMBYs.

The kid driving it? Looks to me like a fairly mature, brick sthouse of a man driving it so if that's what the kids look like round your way... and I very much doubt he got slapped around.Apparently he got a good slapping around for being so careless.

He didn’t though did he. Not sure on a heard of knobs but fairly sure you’d be in one if it is indeed a thing.

Apart from the spelling mistake I agree completely. mgtony said:

Why would you feel the need to use 'any' smiley. The guy is clearly an idiot but there's no need to laugh at his misfortune. https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-7211539/M...
