For the dummies making the big online bids can they refuse to pay when they see what rubbish they have bid on?

They have the option to inspect and satisfy themselves as to the condition before they bid, I suppose

Some of the E24 6 Series coupes have been hawked about to various BMW folk I know - one to me! They were sold to various internet heroes who have received a rude awakening as to their true value. One buyer was disturbed to find the the auction house won't allow him to retract, and he's now £2000+ down.

Sorry mate, you bid to buy and now you own it. My bid was less than half of his. Other bids may vary.

That’s what I thought so these buyers will be feeling some pain if they never went to view before bidding.

I am kinda saddened that so much of the classic car market seems to be made up of clueless people only interested in the money.

Seems like it stopped being about the love of cars a long time ago frown.

Interesting a few of these adds use the auction pictures, I guess the indoor lighting makes them look better than they are.
