Was there ever a manual Citroen SM?
Discussion
These two books are well worth having if you don't already have them...
https://www.amazon.co.uk/SM-Citroen-Maserati-engin...
https://www.amazon.co.uk/Citroen-1970-1975-Limited...
The moor I learn about them and talk to owners of them, the less frightened I am of wanting to own one!

Excellent to hear. Many thanks.
Not a rare car and probably not a car to invest in, but I think they are gorgeous, and might take the plunge on a good one.
I'd disagree with that statement. Values are only going one way.Not a rare car and probably not a car to invest in, but I think they are gorgeous, and might take the plunge on a good one.

And this lovely one......both with the rare resin wheel options as well.

Probably the first car I was really obsessed by as a child in the 70s and I'm still obsessed now.
They are drop dead gorgeous.
Mine too. They are drop dead gorgeous.
Sat in one at the Earl's Court Motorshow in 1972 when my dad was ordering his first car, a GS.
I was six and it blew me away.
Have a picture of a very uncool me around 1974 (in a rally jacket) standing next to a RHD one at some racing circuit in deepest, darkest Essex.
^^^^^
Edited to say, was that Mike Brewer's green SM?

As if by magic, Earls Court in October '72...
More of Mike's car...
Saw this one at the Bicester Scramble in the Summer...
The Geneva launch in 1970...
Mike Hailwood had one for a few years and loved it...
Nyree Dawn Porter drove a gorgeous blue one in 'The Protectors', it's still about (she also drove an NSU Ro80)...
Apologies for the visual onslaught

Many thanks! I will check North America first but no interest in the horrible US spec cars with the horrible front ends. There are some Euro spec cars here and there.
