Race Retro 2020

It was good to see the GN Spider on the Shelsley stand
It might look a bit odd but this car has been extremely successful on hill climbs and tracks for nearly 100 years

Some good things, some bad things. I liked the polished aluminium bodied Cobra on the Hawk stand. Amazing skill welding aluminium with no visible joins. Also the Building the Legend V12. Superb. By the worst thing was the so-called Ferrari F1 car from the Haynes museum. Made of plywood, no brakes and flimsy 'suspension'. I know most things at the Haynes museum are fake, but they should keep them there, not send them out to other car shows. Overall a good day out.
Used the thingy code, no issue, just means you have to go into the room and they give you a wristband, they asked no questions.
New guys have clearly made an effort to fill the rooms, a little bit of tatt in there, but you expect that, a lot of people selling bloody trailers which takes up space, less cars than usual. More bric a brac in the cold room too which is better, but a lot less stuff to look at in there.
Had some interesting chats, but for the stages outside very poor, a lot of the stuff there was less than interesting, it used to be well stocked with older cars, I think they obviously struggle to attract that so fill it up with about 15 205's which are great but a bit samey after a while, seems to have lost the retro side and gained a lot of newer stuff which is a shame.
And again like most shows if you have money and want to spend either on memorabilia or gear, great, but for having a general mooch a bit poor, better than previous years but like a lot of these things a once every 3 years when the contract gets renewed affair I think.
Certainly not in any worth 28 quid on the day, I would have felt ripped off with that.

I had the same, all worked fine. We weren't on the list, but they didn't hesitate to issue the wristbands. We even got to go in to the main entrance and park virtually next to the main entrance.I think the only thing I saw that I wasn't impressed with was the new set of body mouldings to go on a Boxster that is supposed to make it look like a 356. A decent enough job, but a 356 is much smaller.

Was it one of these: http://www.totalheadturners.com/cars/iconic-autobo... just does not look rightHighlight for me yesterday was talking to the guys on the “Worlds fastest Jensen” stand. Bonkers but brilliant at the same time, shedgineering at its finest!

I don't think it was one of those, but it was certainly similar to it. I didn't pick up a show guide and I've tried searching for "RAM 356" which I think is the name on the board next to it, but didn't find anything. It's just too big, really. I'm not that familiar with the 356, but the one thing that always strikes me about them is how small they are.droopsnoot said:

I just had a flick in the back of the show guide, and the RAM 356 is attributed to Realm Engineering. Their website isn't displaying anything at the moment https://www.realmengineering.com/waynecyclist said:

I'm pretty sure I saw that car loaded on a trailer while I was in stop/start traffic on the M25 on Thursday - I remember thinking it looked a bit bizarre.
