They really are beyond tiny!

I am sure they are small but parking it between 2 lorries is disingenuous. Parking one next to a Copen or Fiat 500 would be more use.

Mercedes-McLaren F1 GTR race car for GT racing.
Wow - 9 minutes!

In order to speed up the development of the CLK GTR for the FIA GT Championship in 1997, Mercedes used a McLaren F1 mule onto which it attached the prototype CLK bodywork and their own LS600 6.0 V12 in place of the BMW V12. Mercedes didn't have a long relationship with McLaren at the time, so had to purchase chassis #11 from Larbre Compétition. The head start the McLaren gave Mercedes allowed it to get the CLK running within 5 months of conception.

Here are a few more images of it testing at Jarama including the final one after Bernd Schneider put it in the wall. You can just see the "..enz" of Mercedes Benz on the left of the image on the backdrop.

Three years after the events at Jarama, the car emerged on the auction floor of RM Sotheby’s. The car had received a full restoration including a new BMW S70/2 V12, correct bodywork and its original Franck Muller Watch orange/black livery

Can’t remember what it’s called, but is it the very first McLaren? Designed and built in late 1960s by Bruce McLaren

Well it seems to be a DBS Volante, side repeaters could suggest US spec ?

However I'm guessing there is more to this story ?

Which Ultima owners will always quote at you as proof of how brilliant their cars are.

Early V8 Volante, on Webers (ie before the fuel injection - hence the bonnet bulge).

Is that the new place in St.Athan? There's some lovely early cars in the front row.

I think you might need to put us out of our misery.

All dimensions seem identical to the pictures Of the Volante - perhaps something to do with the hood arrangement - the hood bag looks a bit non standard ?? Unusual seating arrangement ?

I did cheat slightly- it’s definitely registered as an Aston but no MOT or tax since 2010 so ? old photo / onto a different plate or just completed restoration ?

Catchy name. I'd have thought they would have given it a proper name, Dreadnought or something.

Anyone want to identify this?

Has the looks of a Delahaye but don't know if it is one.
