Lancia: saying it all wrong
Discussion
No-one's mentioned Chop Gate, on the N.Yorkshire moors.
I first saw a Stratos near there in 1975 - it was Waldegaard on the RAC Rally, in an 'Alitalia'-liveried version, although his rear clam had just fallen off, so it wasn't exactly looking at its best - this being on the famous Ingleby Greenhow stage. The following February, Andy Dawson won the Mintex Rally there too, in his 'Chequered Flag' version.
And it's pronounced: "Chapyat"......

But, O/T, I still have some 1955 Taylors left in the cellar.
In a former life my stepmother was married to a Portuguese, who happened to own a small vineyard. As a wedding present he gave her some port from the year of her birth: 1950. She still has some and it occasionally comes out at Christmas, much to our delight.Instant gout, to those of us who suffer the affliction.
I stayed at the Yeatman in Porto during the financial crisis. The five star rooms cost buttons, and mid 1960s Taylor's was about 30 Euros a bottle. Noms.
I recommend, post lockdown, Bar Douro at Flatiron Square SE1, owned by one of the Churchills (the Port ones, not the political ones).
