Thanks, it's a 1.3GL, nothing fancy.
That must have taken some work. It does look lowered and I fancy the wheels are a bit wider than standard, anything else changed?. Its a good look. That looks amazing op.
My Mum had a Red one which I very kindly wrote off for her!
Driving like a tool I hit the side of a bridge of all things, didn’t seem to move it very far.
Not my proudest moment.

Whilst in my Mum’s 950, my brother decided to go down a steep hill with the ignition switched off because it would “be funny”. As we approached the corner at the bottom of the hill, the steering lock came on and we ended up skidding down the road on the roof. Parents were not impressed. That looks amazing op.

I bought a secondhand yellow 1978 Fiesta 1.1S in the early Eighties. It was a great little car, took our family on a few fairly long distance holidays with no problems and a couple of years with a daily round trip work commute of around 50 miles. When the rust bug got to it I got a good private deal on a Cavalier GL and the seller gave me a fair price for the Fiesta. He did it up for his wife and we saw it regularly until we moved out of the area.
Moving on a few years, some friends bought a farmhouse renovation project in France, near Alencon, in 2000. The cottage opposite was in an even worse state and had an early red XR2 in the garage. It looked pretty sad, weeds growing all over it,the garage roof was falling in, fortunately without damaging the car. The new owner said to my mate did he want the car or it was off to the scrapyard. In half a day he had it running and it’s still running today!

The lakedistrict motor museum (well worth a visit) had a very tidy mk1 on display went we went last year and it was just as good to see as any of the others.

Must be the thing for motor museums.................Here's one from Caister Castle with an interesting back story. The lakedistrict motor museum (well worth a visit) had a very tidy mk1 on display went we went last year and it was just as good to see as any of the others.

I got home from work one day last year and the wife casually mentioned that there had been a low loader down the alley moving a car from a garage.
Now all me and son really talk about is cars and I strongly questioned the wifes reasoning for not ringing me about the car and did I want her to try and buy it before it was taken away.
Oh I never thought she said, it was only an old Fiesta.

I regret not bothering with a camera outside of holidays and don’t have any pics on my Mk1 1100 Ghia.
But I do have one picture of my Mk2 XR2: which includes a very sorry looking Mexico project in the garage of my first house.
That was a good car, with a set of IDFs and even electric windows.
Nice - with RS 7-Spokes and what looks like a Peco "Big Bore"?But I do have one picture of my Mk2 XR2: which includes a very sorry looking Mexico project in the garage of my first house.

Just to add to the XR2 story, whenever we go over to our friend’s place I’m straight in the driving seat for the morning bread run. They live around 5 miles from the nearest village with brilliant quiet backroads everywhere. It still feels nippy, the steering is nice and sharp and being a left hooker adds to the enjoyment. The seats and interior trim are ready for a refresh.Moving on a few years, some friends bought a farmhouse renovation project in France, near Alencon, in 2000.
