If my numbers come up tonight then this would be in my garage.
Although I’ve not met him in person, only spoken to him on the phone, the current owner comes across as a thoroughly decent chap and although he is sad to see it go I hope it gets a good price
https://www.bonhams.com/auctions/26122/preview_lot...
Originally he bought it 30 years ago out of exchange and Mart!

Such a Shame it’s with Bunghams though.....

I can feel the Contessas pain ...... roll eyes

Zero chemistry for him and his over inflated ego.

Unfortunately not, only what the owner told me over the phone and what I’ve picked up over the years from the cougar owners club

Who would you suggest - Chris Routledge and Coys 2020? rofl

H & H? RM Sotheby's? Mathewsons?

Best choice by far for that sort of car if you want it at auction

Did they force you to consign with them?
Did they refuse you the opportunity to set a reserve?
Did they miss sell you on their charges?
Did you actually have an inflated view of the value?

If there were bidders then the items found their value on that day

It is the 429 cobra jet engine! I know the owners spent a small fortune restoring it over the last 30 years. In his own words, he might have over restored it if anything. It’s better than new.

Incidentally, I spoke to the owner today to buy a used drivers door glass for my 69 off him that he had in his loft.
There was absolutely no suggestion it was and no reason why it should be, but imagine it was the original glass from DR’s car before it was restored?!
I won’t ask as I’m sure ill be disappointed but you can dream can’t you!
