Did Haynes have a branch on the A20 near Sidcup in the mid/late 70s .If so that is where my Mexico came from . But I do remember getting a gas flowed head and various other tuning bits from Haynes early 70s
It would have been on what is known as the 5 ways Junction , there was the Crossways Pub. which became Mc Ds and is now a Premier Inn .

Dennis took over the Registrar role in around 1983, from the original RS3100 Registrar, from 1980 to then being Mick Lower, who was the owner of the ex-press car NHK 281M, he gave up the role when he sold NHK.

All his data though was passed down the line to all the subsequent RS3100 Registrar's in the club, so I would hope the data hasn't been lost, just added to over the years, as any unknown cars details came to be known. Plus of course there will be details of cars that perhaps are no longer around as well.

I do recall his name, possibly when I was trying to buy the rotten red one in Loughton in 82 / 83.

Guessing that they were one of the first “ Rally Sport “ Ford dealers. Their web site mentions their branches on it. I grew up in East London, so never knew deepest / darkest Kent. It would have been on what is known as the 5 ways Junction , there was the Crossways Pub. which became Mc Ds and is now a Premier Inn .

I’m going to try get hold of a few copies of Motor and Autocar, from Feb / March 74, to see if they advertised in it and if my White RS3100, is in their advert.
Yes, Dees of Sidcup was on the A20 at Crittalls Corner. The dealership was pulled down to make way for a B&Q superstore in the 1980's. In the 1990's B&Q retreated into half of the site, and sold the other half for a DFS unit. Both of these remain today.
Dees moved about a bit then - initially to a site on Foots Cray High Street (later to become M P Cars - a well known local used car dealer); and then to a site on Sidcup high Street (now Toyota), before finally settling on the Purley Way, Croydon.
Haynes' site still has quite a few of the original buildings in use - I was in there last November.
My local dealer was (still is) Bristol Street Motors Bromley, who were also an RS dealer. There was a lot of rivalry between them and Dees/KT back then. Bristol Street was immortalised by Jeremy Beadle in the 1980's when he drove a brand new car through the showroom windows.
My father had a Capri 3000GT for a while in 1973/4 and I remember being in Bristol Street with him waiting at the Service Counter and looking at a yellow RS3100 in the showroom. Another in green was parked immediately outside, brand new without number plates. Made my Dad's GT look distinctly ordinary, even though it was the "latest" facelift Mark 1 model.

Im sure i recall that RS deslers, had a round RS logo @ the end of their own logo ??
Im pretty sure that Haynes being so large would have been RS Dealers.
They probably had two versions of the window sticker, a normal one as above, and a RS for RS sales, as I'm sure I've seen a Haynes RS window sticker.
