The Census results will not be available to anyone, except as anonymised and collective data, for one hundred years. To aid my local history research, I'm awaiting the information from the 1921 Census, which will come out next year when it has been digitised. So please complete your census return honestly for the benefit of future historians!
But the 1931 results will never be available. They were stored in a warehouse in Hayes, Essex, that caught fire in 1942, and the whole lot was destroyed. It was not a result of bombing, additional fire hydrants had been fitted and men paid as firewatchers, but no cause was found and no one prosecuted. The Authorities were busy with a war at the time.
Me:
1981 Ford Capri
1991 Isuzu Piazza
2001 Renault Laguna
2011 Citroen C5 Touring

Did my census online today...!
How did you manage to provide details of all the people in your house on March 21st on March 4th?1961 Not yet born
1971 Not old enough, I'd have had some sort of bike, a red one I believe
1981 I didn't have a car, I had a nice Carlton push bike which cost rather more than my first car which came a year or so later
1991 A Cavalier SRi Mk3, yes it was a company car
2001 Jaguar XJ6 (X300)
2011 Jaguar XJ6 (X300), yepp still the same one. I'd thought of changing it but couldn't find a replacement I liked as much, I'd added an XK150 by then
2021 Jaguar XKR (X150), I've still got the XJ6 but it's SORN at the moment. Ha, I'd known then what I know now I could have SORN the XKR too and saved myself a fortune
