Daimler Consort, I think.

NB, I've not seen the programme yet (we've recorded it), just Googled it.

I Googled it too. It may be a Consort.

In the opening clips, I could not see a glass partition, so cannot confirm it was a limousine.

But did the Consort ever have covered rear wheel arches, as the car in the programme has?
It is registered as a 3.5 litre

As important, was that a Riva they had on the loch? It looked really very nice although I'm not sure it is the best choice for that part of the world most of the time.

Got a bit annoyed when they captioned a scene '1951' and then illustrated that with a Ford Prefect Squire estate which had somehow come at least four years back from the future. But then again I'm quite a sad person.

Indeed, and the Daimler LWH 666 which was still in that scene, was manufactured in 1955, according to GOV.U.K. MOT site

It’s a Hooper bodied Daimler Empress II built on a 3 1/2 litre chassis and with 4 speed overdrive preselector gearbox.

It's a DB18 Hooper Empress. I bought one once from a mill in Yorkshire for £1100. Very high quality coach built car!

That annoyed me too. You would think the director would intentionally want to use something correct for the era, especially as the Daimler was in the opening 1963 scene which then cuts back to 16 years earlier - 1947. They made no attempt to make the actors look any younger/different and with the Daimler also being the same, it was somewhat confusing as to what era we were meant to be watching for the first 10 mins of the program. With so many classic cars to choose from it seems so lazy. They did it with the train too; the express train (captioned Golden Arrow Boat Train) but apparently heading up to the 'crumbling pile' in Scotland was hauled by a GWR Prairie tank! rofl There are so many preserved locos to chose from, given that they only wanted a 'looking along the top of the loco' shot, they could have used any one of a hundred more suitable engines. Beautiful costumes, lovely scenery but st continuity and props.

I used to watch the Golden Arrow boat train go through from a bridge in Kent, in their caption it looked like it was on a single track line! No way!
