Look how many are British made.
True, although there's the usual smattering of Beetles and a couple of Renault Dauphines. My favourite is what appears to be a Borgward Isabella at far right, 8th row back, directly south of that grey building and next to a Mini.

5th row back, 4 full cars in from the right is what looks to be a '54 Pontiac, and on the same row, but 4th in from the left, there is a cream car with a red roof, that I'd say is European, but no idea what it is? Opel perhaps?

You may well be right, nicanary (you usually are, I confess), but it's grainy and I'm sticking to the Isabella. No picture I can find on the interweb shows an Aronde with such an angular central grille badge:

The Simca reply was to my question about the cream car with the red roof in my post, not your pot about the Isabella.... readit

No details but a nice pic anyway - the smart looking early 1275GT would be knocking on the door of Cooper values today if it survived....

Got to be a rare colour for a 1275GT as well, don't ever recall seeing many in that colour back in the day?

Yes, it looks like Aqua, only available for a short period, I've seen three Mk3 Cooper Ss in this colour and a couple of 1275GTs.

ETA : one of the very last Mk2 Cooper Ss built was painted Aqua too, there was a short overlap between Mk2 and Mk3 production in early 1970.

I agree with the Isabella. Row 8 to the left looks like an Armstrong Siddeley 234 or 236. Row 12 the large silver car - Austin A135 ?

Very scruffy Cortina there with maybe black under seal on the bonnet to hide the rust,

There's a Renault 14 on the left, behind the ADO Estate, so 1976+. My guess is 1977, due to the bunting (Silver Jubilee?).

With a Mk.2 Granny, that has to be 1979/80 just after the Iranian revolution. It was a snowy winter as well, IIRC.

Mini... Morris & untaxed since 1985. scratchchin
(So it had fifteen good years).
NB: In contrast, My 80’s Acclaim & MG Maestro didn’t even last that long.

The original post said 1970...but I thought that may be incorrect.
