I have been thinking about this since I saw this thread and there really isn't much from my youth that I still would like.
I think the only attainable(ish) car would be the Lotus Esprit, I remember being blown away by them as a young teen and it was cemented in my heart when I started driving and one flashed it's lights to let me out - and pop up lights are the coolest!

Hmm, off to look at Esprits in the classifieds

My 1972 Triumph TR6.

I was 19 at the time. Purchased it when it was 6 years old .It had the SAH exhaust system and a pretty nifty MSD electronic ignition .

Unfortunately the sills where rotten as a pear.

Three years later I chopped it in for a Triumph 2.5 PI . silly

My neighbour’s just bought a beautiful ‘73 TR6 in Pimento Red. For me, it’s one of the best looking sports cars of its era.

Between the ages of 9 and 11 my walk to school took me past the local Fiat dealers, in all those years I only ever saw one Fiat 130 Coupe. I think one of the cleanest designs from the early 70's, still affordable too.

An Avenger Tiger. This one will do nicely...

One of these changed hands this weekend, not sure what the price was though?

Surprised that in ten pages there's only a passing reference to my old Dolly Sprint, which I would happily still own if it had been made out of aluminium instead of ferrous oxide.
