Not really difficult that. The number of bets I have won starting the car in 4th, slipping the clutch and driving to 120 mph are legion. But Would think that you are one of few who felt no need of synchromesh
This was without the use of a clutch. Put the car in 1st gear, open the throttle a bit, push the starter button and away. Then change up through the gears. Every time I had to stop, I had to push the gear into neutral, switch off the ignition, and repeat the process. The old Moss box coped very well; in fact, the changes seemed as good as with the clutch, though I was concentrating quite hard! The gearbox and the Lucas starter motor survived without problems. No doubt the stump pulling 1st gear ratio helped. Of course, I wouldn't recommend doing this if you're not forced to by a total absence of clutch hydraulics.
