Strong money for a four door project. The buyer would/should have had a good look around it.
But if it's original, hasn't been got at and is clean underneath then there are the makings of a car. I'd rather have that than a shiny turd. You'd clean it up, get the running gear up to scratch and run it for a bit before a body job.

A lovely looking car and Silver with a Red Interior is by far the best colour combination. But if it's original, hasn't been got at and is clean underneath then there are the makings of a car. It’s a classy Looking saloon these are ageing well.I just saw an etype coupe shell come up for sale on Facebook the ad says he spent £47,000 restoring the body ( hard to believe ) but just goes to show how people get ripped off by these jag specialist restorers ( some of the em have dozens of half finished / never finished jobs stuck in their premises with the owners pulling their hair out or just giving up on the lack of progress - especially the one based in Nottingham).
Here’s a link to the shell

Times have changed and I've not kept up, I like the mean greenie, but its an old Jag, I want it for £8k max if it really looks ok. I dont want it for £13k even if it was £18k a year ago.

This is the one that failed to sell at both Historics and CCA, with a high bid both times at £7500. I really like it, but at that price, not at the near £13khttps://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/375333861774?mkcid=16&a...

But that silver S1 that sold at the NEC that last ran in 1998 went for roughly £5800 - how can this green one be worth only slightly more - I don't understand!https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/375333861774?mkcid=16&a...
