It's on a front garden in Springbrook. Not sure how long it's been there, I haven't driven through that road for maybe a year, and don't recall seeing it before.

As for my mate, he's not driving an old Ferrari is he? (Haven't seen him for a month or so, and spotted a plate/one, he'd likely have in the high st yesterday.)

Many years ago there was a chap up your way who had a couple of Firebirds (don't know if he still lives this way - was a collegue of my Dads). I used to love them, especially the red ones!!

no, he's not driving an F car at the moment! he's got a Mitsubishi 3000GTO now IIRC. there is a 348 knocking about round town with T2 STV (that the one you mean?) as its plate IIRC, saw it outside Eaton Socon post office a few days ago
i love old skool american muscle, don't recall seeing a guy with a gaggle of Firebirds up here though!

Ah, that's the 348 i've been seeing (plate would suit Steve). Knew about those motors he's got, and the seven series, he's nto been shopping for a while then!

The Firebirds would be back in the late 70s/80s.

Saw a little Hot Rod in Sandfields/Cambridge St yesterday too (thought it might have been Old Warden show related, but that was 28th July).

And this is near a friend of my sons...

Oh, and a Gransport Cambiocorsa with a wink passenger in the High St this evening.

i've seen that 348 round here a few times now. looks nice, might have to grab a few shots of it next time i see it and put them up in the Ferrari/Lambo spotters post (wonder if S11EPS knows about him? ex St Neots based 348 owner)

the 7 Series/'bishi GTO is still outside, he had some sort of bike creation with a rear seat bench on it out the other day!

70's and early 80's are just a bit before my time so thats probably why i didn't see the 'birds!

that Beetle looks very interesting!

were you the lucky devil who got a go in the Maser up the highstreet this evening then? very nice!

A bit of a cheat this one but James'll love it

The coolest of many cool classics seen at the car parking area to view (what I now know to be called) Brunnchen (the set of bends at the 16km mark of the) Nurburgring on Sunday

your not wrong Nigel! that 500 looks superb, the little cars must be a real joy to take round the 'Ring! (although i expect a lot of looking round at mirrors/blindspots for quicker cars coming up on you is a frequent thing though!)

did you know that Brunnchen means "little well"? apparently there is a bridge on one of the sections that has a stream running below that provided water to a nearby village. its not too far off from the Pflanzzgarten (sp?) and the Kleines Karrusell there either IIRC! nerd

not sure it went round the Ring, surely far too nice to risk, there were about a dozen 500s there with a 850 in the car park, they look great travelling in convoy

I know zero, Brunnchen was the 16km mark to me, I can find Pflanzgarten on the map just after Brunnchen smile (but not Kleines Karrusell only Caracciola-Karussell)

I saw the advert in the free local Sunday paper and have done a little research on the intraweb thingy

I was hoping the new 500 would be Cinquecento/Siequecento size at the most but it's much bigger, if the old and new were parked together you'd see that only for marketing purposes would the 500 name seem appropiate

The new car is aimed at a younger generation than me rather like the BMW MINI

The new Fiat 500 is to be a two seater cab later by cutting the floorpan lenght, perhaps in the metal this will have better proportions that the photos suggest, we'll wait for this if we can afford it when it comes out

Mrs Beer still hankers after the Fiat Barchetta we never bought after four years of happy Fiat driving (but also four years of Fiat build quality and local service) - in fact the photo below was only taken because of the orange Barchetta !

This probably counts as cheating but there were a few 50s Jags at the JEC Southern day at Littlecote House on Sunday. Perhaps it had something to do with them having chosen a fifties theme this year to mark the 50th birthday of the XK150.

Here's a dump of my quick point at shoot pictures

today i have seen, several MGB's (2 in convoy up the northbound A1 toward the black cat with their touring racks filled up!) a pale yellow Spitfire, what i believe was a Tucker Torpedo (huge black saloon covered in chrome and bits at the front) a light blue TR6 and a light yellow Rover SD1 all on or around the A1 at Wyboston and St Neots today

To the guy in the powder blue Frogeye coming back from Oulton today, I hope it wasn't my antics that caused your engine to burst! Hope it gets fixed soon!
