A bit of research shows that Eastwood was probably visiting the Coventry headquarters of Manganese Bronze Holdings which owned the Norton Motorcycle brand at the time. To quote the Wikipedia entry for the film:
"As part of his deal with MGM, Clint Eastwood took delivery of a Norton P11 motorcycle, which he 'tested' at Brands Hatch racetrack, accompanied by Ingrid Pitt, something that he had been forbidden from doing by Kastner for insurance purposes in case of injury or worse."

Well I never!

Love this colour shot of 'somewhere in the USA' taken in the early 1950's.

and this one, of a typical neon-lit 'drive-in' from probably the late 1940's.

It can be bright in the UK too. Here is a 1970's shot of New Street Xmas Illuminations:

You know you've got BV's Daimler on your PBucket pictured with the white Webasto?

I clicked on the Jag/Escort pic to read the Escort's plate better ...

Didn't it also spend time as a building society branch, or was that a couple of doors down?

The 1300 Escort was colour changed to red and lasted until 1988. The Jaguar though only until 1984 - colour changed to black and with a 5.0 engine. Probably some custom nightmare with a Yank V8.

Don't know if a Cortina Mark II and a Skoda are classed as classics but here's one of my dad's car taken around 1973. For some reason my mum must have taken a snap of my brother and me walking the dog. Amusingly it was only when I blew it up on my PC that I noticed the kid next door on his bicycle getting in on the act. Was this one of the first examples of photo-bombing! biggrin

Yes uk66, that's why I uploaded it, so I could post it in BV's thread!
