The 400i on the "left to die" thread had me searching and I stumbled across these amazing pictures from I'm guessing, 1982 judging by the Y plate cars. Look how rough and ready the workshop is!!

Wow, fantastic pictures! That looks like 6679SF to me in the 3rd and 4th pictures, the only Ferrari I've ever driven!

You forget how minging the Mondial was! 400i, an acquired taste - was once described to me as 'an XJ-S, only worse'.

The 308GTB and Boxer were more art forms that cars, just lovely.

Lovely photos. I can't quite make out whether that Fiat 131 (or 132?) is wearing "HDT1" or "HOT1", sadly I suspect the former.

Single digit plates on a Fiat, class. I think its a Fiat 131 Supermirafiori 2000 TC - 1984. My uncle was an an Italian car nut back then, and p'xed a beautiful sporty 131 racing for that POS.

It must be the office pool car that wears the plate in between the Ferrari press cars. Here it is on a BB512 in that incredible Car Magazine test that I still remember reading instead of doing my homework - Countach vs BB512 vs 930 T vs V8 Vantage.

I think John Collins of Talacrest owns the plate now.

On about registration plates, seeing the image above reminds me that whenever anyone wanted a Countach to road test in the 80s, it always seemed to be the one registered BR 33. Wonder where that is now?

I remember that magazine article very well, in fact I may still have it in the loft somewhere.
From (not very good) memory, I think BR33 was owned by a Barry Robinson who had something to do with demolition???? Could be completely wrong.
I do recall seeing that number plate on a different car on the M25, a few years later and immediately associating it with the Countach.

I reckon it's later than 1970...

I spy a Daytona Yellow 'big wing' Escort behind the black cab biggrin

I reckon that's an AVO special build Mex or RS16, and probably therefore late 1972 at the earliest smile
