Is the single seater a 250f?

Jonathan
Looks like it to me.
Assuming that's the 1954 German Grand Prix, the only car it could be is that of Onofre Marimon (race #6) who fatally crashed in practice. Very sad photo.

The Hotel Lowen in Lahr (near Strasbourg) was obviously popular with British tourists in July 1971 when my f-i-l-to-be took this shot of his Triumph 1300 and others. I guess the 'tina is a 1600E - but didn't they have vinyl roofs ?

Ours didn't. I think it was probably an option, but generally as far as can remember most didn't tick that one.
Lovely Cars.

Yep, vinyl roof was extra cost option on the 'E'.

That one is Aubergine as well, which IIRC was a 1600E only colour.

Entirely possible. I wonder if Brodie's in Willesden know anything about it - they seem to be the main SM specialists.

Father had new Aubergine 1600E, no vinyl roof, YVO 882H. It's still listed on DVLA although dormant since 1987 so probably a gonner.

Tidy looking Mk3 Mini in Oxford Street, 1977, with some nice period extras... lack of r/hand tank so an 850 or 1000 rather than a Cooper S...

Full length Webasto sunroof, Dunlop D1 wheels and Yale locks.

My first new car was a Mini 1000 in 1978. It had a shorter Webasto, Wolfrace slot wheels (I know - you don't have to say) and Ziebart rust prevention which introduced corrosion around the drilled and plugged holes through which the rust prevention goo had been squirted.
