How about a 'period' classics pictures thread

A few more black & whites from Dads collection..
Picture of his dads Standard Vanguard, taken in Greenhill nr Herne Bay early 1960s.
Random street shot taken from his mates place, Nightingale Ave, Hathern Loughborough in case anyones interested!
Dad sat on his mates late 30s Ariel in Hastings 1957. He'd rode down on a D1 Bantam but wanted picture with the better bike!
Shot of his work place from car park, late 60s. Only noticed the face in the nsr window of the Anglia once id scanned up the pic!
Lastly, Dads Imp- mid 60s. The girl on the bonnet isn't my mum so didn't ask too many questions as mum was about! He says that he bought the Imp from one of the directors of Rootes and had been well worked on. A bold statement but he claims to have blown Coopers away in it!!

A few pics of my 309Gti, bought early 97 to replace the Escorts!
In the last pic you can just see an XR3 behind my dads standard 309, id had that to bomb about in for a couple of weeks before I got my 309. Didn't know at the time but found out later on that it was one of the launch cars that are going for good money now, TTW108W it was, destroyed shortly after I sold it!
The two mk3 Cavaliers belonged to a husband and wife that lived in the house to the left of the cars

Lovely pic! Being a B reg' example it'll be either a late 997 Cooper or an early 998 Cooper. Nice period goodies on it by the way, the 'modern' number plates, reversing lamp and (dead posh) rear wiper, looks like it also has the alloy wheel arch extensions made by Cosmic in Walsall.
Thanks, always nice to know!Edited by P5BNij on Friday 2nd March 19:39
