Normal attire? You speak for yourself, I was around in the 70s and few dressed like Robbins.
You are however correct about him being the exact opposite - he always said he couldn't remember how many wives he'd had. Probably because he was always surrounded by women. God knows why?
Oh, money!
His ex wife Grace told a few tales in her book 5 years ago.

They don't look too happy do they? But I suppose it was the seventies, an era of perpetual rain unless it was 1976 when everyone fried instead.

Was it really necessary for the dude in the back to sit sideways like a chaise longue? I thought the interceptor had decent adult rear seats.

Most of the period reviews suggest there's little or no leg room in the back if the driver has his seat all the way back on the runners. Wouldn't be so bad for me though, being of the 'Italian ape' persuasion in the physique department!

No, they're racing to a decent hairdresser they've just heard about.

Can't decide if that's a pub, a steam engine or an old cross-channel ferry.

On closer inspection, it looks like Les Dawson on the receiving end of a handshake and keys handover?
Would this explain the why so many salesmen in on the pic?

On the subject of Interceptors, here's Michael Rimmer's.

Played by Peter Cook, The Rise and Rise of Michael Rimmer is a great flick if you haven't seen it. smile

Further on the subject of Interceptors, I've been catching the re-runs of "The Protectors" being shown late at night on ITV4 during the week.
