Watford Junction railway station in the 1980s...but what’s that small vehicle (three wheeler car? A boat?) in the car park?
I was shunting crippled wagons in Watford Yard when you posted that last night Gareth, not a Viva, Allegro or three wheeler in sight. Most disappointing! Not sure if I've already posted this one before but what the 'eck here goes - Macca arrives at Abbey Road studios in July '69 in his '65 Radford Cooper S, finished in Aston Martin California Sage Green, it also has Aston DB5 rear lights (as did Lennon's Radford)…

This is quite a curious piece of 1970s film-making, but it is one long street scene in east London. I enjoyed it, but it is quite odd.

Nice to see a pic from the days when cars were actually coloured, rather than various shades of grey sludge as today.
Indeed.Lots of yellows, greens and oranges, which you just don't see today, green especially is almost unheard of today.
Bright yellow BMW E12 in foreground, imagine peoples reaction today seeing a bright yellow 5 Series.....!!
if only

I'd hazard a guess at a Bond Minicar. Not sure which model though.
We've been there and done that. You've got it the wrong way round. That's the tail sticking out and it's got a rudimentary rag top. As I said, Morgan Aero. RichB said:

But he did add 'Brilliant!' before his mention of the wrong way round.

I'd say that the voice over has been added and describes what he sees, but in a way that implies he is directing. This is quite a curious piece of 1970s film-making, but it is one long street scene in east London. I enjoyed it, but it is quite odd.
Not sure why, but then there's possibly a grant involved and some creative bks. Otherwise a good enough waste of time...

Vintage TV has a number of programmes from the 50's and 60's with many wonderful mind jogging Cars in them.
Second unit film crews were often sent out to record everyday traffic scenes to be used for back projection later on, the ITC shows like 'The Saint', 'Randall & Hopkirk' etc are full of it, you can spot all sorts of goodies on repeated viewings. It's the same with films of the period too of course, when I bought the dvd of 'The Killing Of Sister George' I spotted a very rare Stewart & Ardern Minispint parked in a London mews, it was on screen for about two seconds but I could see the reg' number. I took a screen grab and posted it on a Mini forum I'm on and a few days later the owner popped up saying it was still in existence and he was restoring it.52classic said:
Liking the Ginetta GS Tora behind the Ultima. Hillman Hunter based AIRC. Are there any left?

And the S1 RS Turbo race car - when was this photo taken? I'm guessing around '85/86?
In order, yep to Hunter based. Any left? Yes, they come up now and then. Usually cheap, but needing work.Photo taken I believe 85 but could be year before or after.
The interesting thing about the photo is that not just is it Lee Noble's Ultima (Mk2?), but the Ginetta GRS Tora was 'his' tow car.
Great taste in tow cars, eh?
When I had a Tora in the 80s I had a sticker for the rear which said 'Lee Noble owns one of these!', but never stuck it on after my Misses said 'Who?'
Probably look quite cool on one today.
