Marc Bolan sitting in his wife's 1275GT in 1976, the year before the fatal accident on Barnes Common...
Not his wife's car, they had split by then, because of his affair with Gloria Jones.Bolan never learnt to drive, so all the cars were his, but others drove him around. Jones was at the wheel of the 1275GT when it crashed.
He owned a white Roller as well, which had been loaned by his management to Hawkwind on the night he died.

Not as old as some of the photos in this thread, but this was our driveway in 1991, I’d have been 8 years old ish.
...and a photo of when he bought the BMW a few months earlier.
It was stolen recovered, bought at auction. The only way we could afford a nearly new 3-series.
Dad rebuilt it in his friends garage, here’s a pic of him in the boot, checking the boot light went out when it was shut.

292 miles on the clock, so a-one off car for a one-off visit by a foreign dignitary? Amazing.http://www.redandwhite.it/FilippoEdimburgo/Filippo...
The infamous 'Morrari' from 1960's New Zealand Allcomer Racing Series in the mid-1960's.
It was 1955 Ferrari Formula One chassis (chassis 555/1) shortened and modified from centre steering to left-steering, fitted with a 327ci Chevy small block V8, and draped in a low light Moggy Minor body, to match the Ferrari chassis almost perfectly.
Marvellous beer fuelled, antipodean crazyiness

Wow. That'd put the 'provenance' lot in a bit of a spin.
