Does look like that, I can't see the vents on the rear quarter though

It'd be a Variant rather than an estate of course wink

And I think (I'm not 100% on this - what's the mustard coloured car?) that's the only non-Brit car there.

We screwed up sooooo badly in the '70s. It's not like our cars were crap designs. The Variant was hardly a runaway success, European cars rusted just as much as Brits, in many cases worse. I saw a TV doc the other day showing how contemporary UK motor manufacturers (management and shop floor) who were excited about joining the Common Market because it would open the market for them. Didn't go well. I wonder whether, if we'd never joined, our indigenous motor industry would have fared better?

Sorry, I know not the time or place, that pic just got me musing.

Thought I'd do a "then and now" comparison of the Kelvinbridge subway station car park. Seems to me that the trees have grown somewhat over the past 45 years or so. Pictures taken 10 minutes ago.

it opened to their cars being sold, but also to the companies being completely bought out, greedy short-term (mis)management

Amazing.

In Switzerland, even the car crashes are tidy.
