Nice - the S3 XJ looks a little out of place (but very swanky) and I wonder if of any of those Transit variants are still around, none I'll wager.
Three of those aTransits are a VW type 2 a BL Sherpa and a Bedford CF.Or were you referring to just the Transits?

Anyone else offended by the Countach’s windscreen wiper? Looks like something knocked up in a school metalwork lesson.
An afterthought knocked up sharpish isn't far off, the prototype LP500 was first exhibited without a wiper and some of the early road test shots also show it sans wiper. You'd have thought that with over two years development work going into the production LP400 a better arrangement might've been found.Edited by P5BNij on Thursday 15th November 13:59

That was the Lambo way back in those days........or pretty much the Italian way back in those days!!
Not half.... when the interior of the Miura was being 'designed' Marcello Gandini, his right hand man Pierro Stroppa and boss Nuccio Bertone spent a few hours taping bits of cardboard together to form the dash, centre console and roof console until it looked 'right', then they did the engineering drawings afterwards! That was the Lambo way back in those days........or pretty much the Italian way back in those days!!
This just in from Kensington Olympia, 1971...

It does look like an Imp (Californian) at first glance, but on closer inspection probably a Singer Chamois Coupe.
Triumph 2000 below.
Imp Cali I think - Chamois had a badge on the rear quarter and the 'Sunbeam' script was on the rear offside as opposed to the rear centre for the 'Hillman' scriptTriumph 2000 below.

Birmingham Airport c 1980. Plenty to spot here, not least Concorde F-BTSC which met an infamous end 20 years later.
Just shows how few foreign cars were around, even as recent as 1980, only 2 Beetles, 3 x Fiats and a couple of Japanese cars among the domestic makes (although some French Chrysler/Talbot's among them)RATATTAK said:
That's got to be pre 1980s - looks more like early 70s
Mk3 Capri between the Mk2 Escorts in the front row so cant be earlier than 78?I first thought the Escort next to the HA van was a rare 4 door 1600 Sport but cant see the decal on rear quarter so probably a GL or Ghia with added boot spoiler.
Great picture!
