I'd say JJ Burnel bassist with the Stranglers
Last seen teaching Karate in Cambridgeshire...Saw the Stranglers with Hugh Cornwell at their final gig at the Ally Pally many moons ago, and know absolutely nothing about anything they did after that point.
Jet Black is 80!
It's a good innings 80, drummers stay fit and live longer, if........they keep off the drink and drugs and keep playing. I've been playing since 1981.

Touring, albums, touring, albums. Different without Hugh, but very good still IMO.Bebee said:
That's a gig I'd love to have been at, loved JJ's hard punching sound and image, that Fender P took a pounding, he influenced my old mate Mart from The Charlatans.
It's on DVD out there, I think it's called "Friday Night Saturday Morning" ( https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=l1MoR3j5M_I ) . In truth it's not a great gig, a lot of stuff is quite a lot slower than it used to be and, personnel changes aside, I'd say they're a better live act now than they were at that gig. Compare the start of that gig, with this one in France in 2014, it's the same song to open with after the intro : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CIFKL83bQiI - but it's all subjective of course. I've seen every line-up (bar the very first pre-record deal) and I've enjoyed every gig.Dapster said:
Jet Black has (or at least had) a huge fleet of classic British ice cream vans in his private collection!
Well, Jet Black *had* a huge fleet of ice cream vans when he used to run an ice cream company from the basement of his off-license in Guildford. This is the last one, which was used for transporting the band around to early gigs, with Dave Greenfield (keyboards) next to it.It was auctioned or raffled off a few years ago after sitting in Jet Black's driveway for years, last seen somewhere up here in the north west but no-one I know in CF circles seems to know quite where.

Ice cream vans...
well, ice cream!
I've just gone back in time, mine's a
They (Tonibell) are still going and advertise the fact that they want and still restore old Tonibell ice cream vans, to keep their legacy alive.
Well done to them.

Hillman Imp in the centre suggests '63 onwards.
As per the Mk3 Zodiac and FC Victor in the foreground, both being '63 onwards. That's why I said 64/65, as there seems nothing newer than 65/66?
