How about a 'period' classics pictures thread

As I understand it he also had a Maserati A6G at one point. He certainly has great taste in cars.
I'd dearly love a Mustang Fastback of either shape, or a Boss / Mach 1 but those I've seen for sale recently are mostly out of my budget. I watched 'Vanishing Point' last night so I'm due a week of pining desperately for a white 1970 Dodge Challenger...!
Another book has arrived in the post today, Jimmy Dinsmore and James Halderman's 'Mustang By Design', it's beautifully illustrated, looking forward to a good old perusal.

Jay Leno feature on the BOSS 429... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LlKkds2Lhx8
Clint has a hot rod '32 Ford roadster as well, as he couldn't afford a hot rodded '32 roadster when he was a teenager, and had to make do with a T-bucket mounted on a Model A chassis with a flathead V8 instead.
I think he also still has the Norton Commando that he took delivery of in England in in 1968 when he was at Pinewood filming the studio scenes for Where Eagles Dare.

It's funny, I had always thought of CE as being as large, powerfully built man but in the photo he seems smaller than I'd imagined. Perhaps the perspective and his declining years have something to do with it?He also said that he was a lovely guy and not at all 'hollywood'.

isnt that one of the factory Cooper S cars?
I don't think it is - only seven were built, not by the factory but by John Cooper Garages and they had Radford style doors with quarterlights and electric windows, Benelite grilles with integral spotlamps plus lots of extra chrome, full Radford wooden dashboard and leather interior etc, at least one of them had rectangular Cibie headlamps as well (this one survives and does the shows most years).manorcom said:
