Unless I'm mistaken that's Dr Rob's FISC race car - resprayed from red all over. Used to go quite well. Was maintained by Koen who ran rwo MGBs for teams in the 6 Hrs

Under construction Lotus Cortina TC.

Major team effort.

50 years of E-type this year, I wonder if Spa would show a bigger field of big cats this year.

Sublime recreation.

Famous livery.

rofl
get your priorities right. It's 60 years of C-Types this year.

Looks like the main party for the E will be at the Silverstone Classic.
For the C-Type they are planning a bash at Shelsley Walsh on 4th and 5th of June.

It's also the XK Club day, so I'm planning to be there in the 150.

Newall GT40 was no match for the quicker Lolas and Chevrons and finished mid-field.

Iron Volvo 1.8 in the wooden Marcos.

Very close to the block attached carbs seems to be a Coventry Climax feature.

Minshaw Lola office. Cool as fook gear in the door.

Love the unsaturated colours of the 50s/60s/70s!

Celebrating the E-type.

Unlucky Graff Von Oeynhausen got stuck at 88th / 41 laps, best 2:57.

Bit slower E (51st / 3:14) shows the amazing difference in 6 Hrs pace.

(94rd / 3:07) Only 23 laps for this stunner.

TVRs:

Glad to see it in top 10.

Onboard video: how smooth is that car!

Shipman / Hales started in front but finished 82nd.

Super quick Griff (8) battling the Melse 911 (17).

NOW we are talking Dink - only 4 months to get here smile

I think The Shipman one could have been top 3 without the problems. Nigel said he was taking it easy in his first stink and still just hanging with the top GT40's, can't remember what effectively put it out half way through Shipman stint. Did Mark even get to drive - I did not think it finished. It was 3rd on the Grid! Pity it cam in on the low loader (Front uprights as expected and very modded but still a weak link - not having these on mine).

They easily had the legs of the Blue one this year.

Mines off to have the same full exhaust system built as per these 2 on Monday smile

Indeed - Mark Hales did a mega job on last few laps of practice (before the stub axle snapped), was Chatting to Nigel Rueben when fixing it. If they could only get a clean run at it.

Agree GT40 should be better though, longer wheelbase, mid-engined, think alloy heads homologated and defo bigger brakes. So the Driving you'd have to say was of the Top order smile

P12 and best Belgium result for this little Duvel.

P31 cracking green 911.

3:08 for the quickest 911s 2 litre screamers (1/50s).

P17 and always a good result for the Dutch Melse entry.

Stunning 904/6 had to retire after just 37 laps. The team came all the way from the USA.

Nice and terrifying screaming stuff.

I've never been able to get the whole squashed Dub, 911, thing, but that is rather tasty.
(I like 917s too)
