Nope, it was the similarly coloured Alan Mann Racing car.

Just sorting through my pictures now. Had a great time on the pit wall of garage 27 (car 96) as always, well done everyone. My God it got wet, six hours in the cold! What's not to love ;0) The meal on Friday night was brilliant and a return visit must be made next year ;0)

Aha, so you brought the awesome looking JPS Cerbera! Fantastic piece of eye candy.

On with the show, Phils brought his S3 Espada:

Yup, it's a 12POT allright.

The rare Lambo - although "By the time it went out of production in 1978, more Espadas were made than any other Lamborghini, some 1,217 in all, almost twice the number of Urracos or Miuras, and more than twice the number of the fabled Countach. When you’re good, the roots hold fast." - attracted some attention! I wonder how many are left. Some were cut up for their V12. The Espada shared the plant with the Miura and Countach cars.

Very nice review here.
"The boldest statement, however, was the fastback roofline, never before done so well on a car so big. It’s a shape - trust us - that owns the high road."

The steep way up. Unbelieveable the climb is a stretch of about 1 mile! Awesome sight to see the cars whizz by, headlights shining through the trees.

Sunday BSS race:

. . . and that was the only time Phil came pass my lens. After the bloody warm up lap the diff gave up . . . ;(

Dinks those are outstanding.
Love both sets.

In the Stirling Moss Trophy did you get any of the red O.S.C.A MT4 (car 45 Tony Bailey)?

It looks damn good on the back of a trailer bet it looks even better on the track.

(and it's not even a Jaguar)

Start of the 6 hrs, seen from the grand stand.

Quite a pack of cars!

Driver was extracted very carefully, taken for a check and pronounced fine.

Although the car looks a mess the cage held up and the biggest problem the extraction crew had was getting a door open. Not sure if they ever did - I suspect they were planning to take the driver out in the seat but that's not what happened in the end.
