Clark E-type in qualification and 6 Hrs race:

A brilliant 6th in the final results. Not bad for a clean car.

Stretton / Caine Cobra candy:

Paddock atmosphere.

Quick piece of weapon, final result: 76th, 34 laps from the #1 and with a best 2:56 secs. laptime. Most quick cars did similar laptimes . . . apart from the Hadfield GT40.

Did any one manage a pic of the Kawasaki Green Austin Healey(frogeye) Sprite from Barry's race?

You'd need to have been quick as I parked up against the pit wall on lap 2 cry

Exactly so!

Green Frogeye: unfortunately not . . . I saw your park and felt sorry: such a fine car, I love Froggies.

FYI: after 15 mins and so 3 or 4 laps I was too wet to continue and had to make my retreat . . . Requests are fine, but you'll be on a 20+ request list.

No worries I though it was a slim chance given the weather and our time on track...

we were gutted, it had been 2 hard weeks to get the car ready after a start line accident at Cadwell, and with the wet weather we were really up for it, and a top 10 was a real possibility. even after probelms in qually where the engine sucked in loads of water..

It was the first time I'd driven the car and its very different to a tuscan but great handling and very well put together by dom at midland classic restorations who owns the car.

its kind of buggered my budget for the last TVR race too as i now have quaife Dog box to pay for cry....

haha - PM me!

Did it have one of these under the bonnet
BMW / Megatron 1.5 Turbo 1000 race / close to 1500 Qualy!

From the Stavelot Museum - well worth a cycle out to (did the old track on the way back - enlightening!!!!!!).

I heard one of their car packs 380bhp (the other two about 340). Spoke to one of them at Mallory testing earlier in the year - when they has a dark blue low drag there. Too much money...... partly why I decided fia was not for me.

I was going the wrong way!

You can see how the lap record was over 160mph back in 1970 - Jesus - Flat chat downhill for miles!

The RED line smilewink

Mindbogging in this!!

Just ditches, trees or endless downhill fields to await you!
