Wow, I just saw the other picture of this on Flikr, do you know the story behind it? Was it subsequently resuced and restored by Volkswagen?
The Russians took 13 Auto Union racing cars to Moscow in 1945. Bits of them went into various sports cars. There's a lot more information on it by the gurus on TNFThere was an old Lancia Trevi Volumex VX near me:

Also, there is a pretty forlorn looking Citroen SM under the cover here; it used to be open to the elements. Interestingly I was having a look at similar abandoned car stuff on YouTube a while back, and spotted a photo of it in a video, amongst the huge amount of rusty Americana; my colleague gave me a disbelieving look when I recognised it, but good old Google Maps confirmed my claim!

Spot on - an S2 (Renault power) Europa, pm me some details - always interested in cars in need if only to pass on to others. My Twink was a similarly neglected and "not for sale" proposition, my trailer and an envelope of cash suddenly seemed very exciting to the then owner ;-)Gassing Station | Classic Cars and Yesterday's Heroes | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
