Classics left to die/rotting pics
Discussion
This is my old motor. Parked it up in December 2010, fully intending to restore it, but every time my garage gets emptied, something else ends up filling it up.
It needs trailering the 10 miles or so to my house, and while it's not a particularly glamorous or exotic model, it'll keep me amused through the winter.
It doesn't look too bad in that picture, but in the flesh looks a bit rough. It wasn't too rusty when I left it there, but I suspect it's not in a great way underneath now.

I found a bit of a graveyard at the weekend... I do urbexing as a hobby (exploring abondoned places if you wondered ) and round the back of this old manor house were 16-17 cars, slowly rotting. Some pics:
Dolomite must have been parked there about 20 yrs due to the positioning on a pretty big tree right behind it!
Must have been 7 Jags in total around the place!
And there were 3 minis as well!
Sounds interesting, how can you find out more about urbexing?Dolomite must have been parked there about 20 yrs due to the positioning on a pretty big tree right behind it!

Apologies for the shocking picture, but this truck went past my house earlier with a rather rusty Herald on the back.
Hope it's not another one on the way to the scrapperHuntsman said:

I am currently restoring one of the very few surviving Olympic Mini Vans. They were actually Spanish-built Authi's, and Olympic Airways bought 44 of them in the early 70's.
Would love to see that do you have a restoration thread going or pics anywhere beach bum?I have an 83 mk2 i've been restoring for some time!

Urbexing sounds less like you're breaking the law I guess.
sure I was only ribbing. but its a bit like the urban acrobats jumping around roofs...bet they didn't seek permission (when the cameras arn't rolling) and I bet they wouldn't get it (if there wsn't a paid up film shoot). And the thrill seekers climbing to the top of half finished skyscapers, I don't think security waved them through.
I struggle to think of Urban areas that are interesting enough to poke around but arn't owned by the council or some developer of some sort, no matter how derelict it might be.

And a certain Bristolian who likes to adorn walls with (admittedly very witty and clever) paintings. So they're worth millions? They're still illegal.
Can't imagine he often knocks on the door first.
yep - I drive by one of his early works ... thought about taking the piece of concrete away and fleabaying it but the flyover might come down. Can't imagine he often knocks on the door first.
