Unsurprisingly, there's an FB page!

I hadn't heard about that place, it's probably only 30 odd miles from me.
Wow.

That Landy's probably not beyond saving! Bit of an odd one though, it looks like either a series IIa or III but with a reg. from '63... Either way it's tax exempt!2. I'm sure you mean '83 (not '63) as the year letter is a prefix, not a suffix. Series III produced from 1971 to 1985 would tally with that VRN
3. 1983 plate suggests that it's NOT 'VED' exempt, so probably not a priority for restoration.

1. Rover. It's a 'Rover' - not a 'Landy'I have to say that over all the years I've been alive and around Land Rovers (mainly on farms), I've often heard them referred to as Landy's but never 'Rover'.

Rover is Army.
Landy is civvy.
What he said ^^^Landy is civvy.
As a squaddy, you'd get beaten about the head with an 12" adjustable if you said "Landy".
I didn't realise it was a civvy thing though. I thought it was only the Crabs that called them 'Landies'
