I am forever feeling guilty about this car, because I pass it about twice a week and never report it on PH. If anyone's interested in the car, contact me and I can have a word with the owners - although I don't know them very well. I've lived about a mile away for 25 years!MarshPhantom said:

I thought that white car was some kind of Datsun (or Toyota Crown) rather than a Holden. Has to be Europe somewhere, especially given the RO80 lurking in the background. Those wankle engines wouldn't have made it out of the continent. My guess would also be Cyprus

Datsun 260C isn't it?Paul
Its a shame that these owners are not pointed in this direction http://giveacar.co.uk/charities/helen-rollason-can... may bee they could insist that the car is auctioned and not scrapped, The owner could receive some cash and feel good that they have done a good deed and the car that they will never get restored will be cherished by its new owner. I believe it is a nationwide scheme so if you have a car laying around feel good about getting it gone.
A mate found this a couple of weeks ago, in a dirty, open barn.
It is completely covered in bird droppings, especially in the boot and under the bonnet!
Anyway, he needed the space, so, i thought it would be rude not to help it back on the road.
The tax ran out in 2001, so it would be safe to assume it had been in the barn since then.
10 minutes after getting it back to my lockup, the mechanics next door had it running!

The uber rare 2.0L, but with a manual gearbox!;)
The low front corner is due to the spring for it being in the boot!
It is also absolutely solid, no welding needed!
Had to jack it up to move it about and we used all four jacking points without any issue.
It doesn't look it, but it is scruffy, really scruffy!

From 7 November - has anyone identified the mystery yellow car yet?Humper, you said you may not get to visit again as you were lost - maybe we could search streetview given the rough area?
(Do I have too much time on my hands to go on a virtual drive on Google maps?)

That car is the post 1980 facelift (smaller headrests) but I think, pre '82 facelift (so doesn't have the circular vent holes in the wheels). That is a fantastic car. My dad had an '81 200 with a manual (4 speed) box back in the day - classic white, blue cloth. It was just so majestic. These things are now worth big bucks in top nick.

Its a T140 Elite (I would recognize it any where as I designed and built it)
