Agreed ... I'd prefer one over an E-Type any dayThe XKs are just so much more elegant.

I wondered if you were going to say there was 230 special XK models with different cylinder heads or something. ( actually I suppose they were the XK150S models) That's tantamount to calling me a spanner.....

Thanks. The car had one owner for 29 years and was always garaged in the dark so it was a lucky find. The owner even logged every single gallon of fuel used and corresponding MPG in a hand-written log. I love the red & orange striped tweed interior which was unique to the 1984 GTi. I have recently fitted the correct single outlet exhaust as the rest of the car is so original I want to keep it that way. It's never had any restoration at all which is pretty remarkable for a 30 year old car with 108K on the clock. It's still on the original clutch!A few more recent pics:
