Even after polishing and buffing up my glasses, I still can't quite get that as a classic!
Nor any Escort for that matter... But to each his own.
If you define 'classic' as 'sought after' then you can't really argue with that.

he's my mk3 Escort estate just back from being polished and buffed up. I can't believe the 33 year old paintjob came up so well.

What a smashing facility and a great place to get a group of you together. Is it privately owned by one of yoru members? Makes a good picture too! smile

It is a garage open to the public which specialises in older vehicles. The owner is known to one of our group, so we hired it for the day along with two of the resident mechanics to be on hand to assist and advise as required. We each had an hour and a half on the ramps and unlimited time on the floor.

A great day which I'm sure will become an annual event.

I picked this up last week.
It's not been on the road for 21 years and needs some recommissioning but the body, hood and interior are in great condition.

That's in great condition for a car that's not been on the road for so long.

I was talking about it with the guy who trailered it home for me.

He moves a lot of classic cars about and he reckoned mine was so good because there was lots of wood lying around the car in the previous owner's garage, which he reckons absorbs moisture and helps keep it off the car.

I have no idea if that's true, but there could be something in it, I suppose..?

Ah yes, liking the e24 love in - mine from a couple of years ago, sadly written off when someone drove into the last owner

Great. And to continue the theme, here's mine. 121k miles and mainly original paint, new front wings fitted just before I bought it. The wheels are not mainly original...........
