...and at the current rate of use it could be as late as 2060 before the mileage clicks over to 56000!!

Lovely cars. My Dad had one until well into his 80s. Strangely when we sold that it had done 56000 miles.

Agreed. E24 and E28 are two boxes yet to be ticked - have come close to both, but not quite found the right one at the right time.

Have been using mine for a bit of commuting recently - make use of a couple of specific parking spots that are wider than usual...

Thanks! She certainly sounds pretty crisp
smile .like I say whilst not an original she is a CAV turnkey car with a beautiful stainless steel monocoque chassis, 302 with quad 48 idf's and a getrag 6spd transaxle.........i can't ever remember using 6th gear! She's the true realisation of a boyhood dream smile

It would certainly be mine lick just thinking of when they raced these with the BB FE series motors too makes my toes curl they must of been absolutely brutal eek back when men where men I guess and forearms like Popeye no doubt laugh

Used to own a "basic" 1983 635CSi Auto. Had it for 18 years. Mostly good fun, if you ignore the Karmann-patented corrosion and the stunningly-expensive outer panels.



Have also owned a 1973 VW K70L and a 1973 NSU Ro80. Recently bought this:







Six previous owners, but 79,000 miles in 29 years - it's hardly gone anywhere. Doesn't seem to be much wrong with it, either.
