It's a 1965 S1 4.2 FHC, imported late last year from the US but just driven briefly for first time as it has had a round of repairs and upgrades (4 piston calipers and ventilated front discs, servo, radiator/fans, lights) and converted to RHD. Now waiting for age related Reg No. from DVLA.

Sourced this delightful period child seat for my Citroen. By sheer luck the colour is almost a perfect match.

The sense of space and light inside is magnificent.

You don't need to leave a baguette on the back seat to tell us what nationality the car is wink

Have you shown the 500 at Auto Italia at Brooklands Blib ?

I remember a car with the Italian petrol tank but that may be a popular paint finish for them.

No, we haven't. You're correct, I've seen several cars with the tricolore tank.

Although finished over 3 years ago I've not got around to writing a readers car. I filmed and documented every step. It was one of this projects that got completely out of hand. I had only intended to service the car. But, on thing led to another......as an example , when I bought the car it was LHD. hehe

I'm always up for a readers car thread on a FIAT.

Looked at my pic file the 500 I saw with tricolore tank was red.
