Owned all three of these at the same time and all quite different. Mk1 Vitesse 2.0L believed oldest in existence 13 yrs and counting. 1955 XK140 FHC 3 or 4 yrs and counting and 1961 GMC Apache with 5.7L and Positrac unfortunately I killed it when it slipped off the road on spilled diesel at 25mph. It hit a post at about 15 mph and insurance wrote it off. Was sold and advertised for £4K more than I paid for it 12 weeks earlier but where is it now?

I’ve not been in here for a while, this thread continues to impress and depress in equal measure.
I think I feel the same - some lovely kit, but does make most of mine look a bit down at heel!Just got the old wedge out after a bit of fettling. Last used it for a jaunt up to Northumberland for a week, back in October. Decided to fit a new heater (practically everything but the paint needs removing) and overhaul the injection, so it somehow ended up in the garage most of the winter and I drove the old truck or rode the Harley through all the bad weather. So glad that I bothered tho', it used to pop in and out on various cylinders as and when it felt like it - now, it just goes. I'd forgotten just how much fun you can have with two hundred brake in a small rear wheel drive car.
And I know you could say that these belong in Biker Banter, but I'm not certain there are that many on there that are interested in oily old tat. The twins out for an airing recently...

It's amazing isn't it (see my post about my Griff) so this is one year older and to me looks better than the current Ferraris. Gassing Station | Classic Cars and Yesterday's Heroes | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
