Not for me. I’m deffo not a fan of the US stack. Love the tombstone European ones If I was to nitpick, I’d lose the spotlights as they detract a bit from the elegance of the front end.
IMHO obviously.
My vulgarly modern Beetle with her two wingmen arriving at the prom on the Brighton Breeze. We always suck at getting the correct red, white and blue running order thing sorted

Not sure whether I have ever put up any pics of my 944 on here. Car is a 2.7 with 155k on the clock. Failed the MoT in June on brakes and sill rust on one side, all of which I have now done. The other side really needs doing at some point but it's not as bad as the other side was and can wait until the spring. Floors are solid as a rock as well.
Car just had new discs, pads and recon calipers at the front and the same at the back, although I just replaced the seals myself on the rear calipers.
It's been my daily drive since 2013, goes like the proverbial train and burns no oil at all. Plans are to do more on the bodywork, and work towards a respray maybe next year sometime. Someone keyed it a couple of years ago, and then some clown dented the back as well by the hatch lock, great.
Cost me not a lot. Is still worth not a lot and that's just the way I like it. Just reinsured with Lancaster for £95 as well!
Edit: Forgot to say it only just scraped through the MoT on emissions. It was 1.8 last year (max is 3.5). Originally tested at 4.08 then 3.58 then finally just under. It had new plugs and air filter recently, I gave it a decent run and it arrived hot before the retest on the admissions as well. Had some emissions cleaner through it too. I replaced the oil temp sensor which can make the car overfuel if it sends a false reading ... any other ideas? O2 sensor maybe?

Here's my old S2 I sold 10 years ago. Wish I hadn't....Car just had new discs, pads and recon calipers at the front and the same at the back, although I just replaced the seals myself on the rear calipers.

Love the stacked lights. You can't leave it at one line about the car - what's the story?
I had been wanting to buy a classic car for quite some time now (several years).I know, most people my age (27) would look for something more flashy or fast
However these W115 Mercedes always grabbed my attention. Something about the headlights and the basic, clear design appeals to me.
The ultimate step for me would be a nice W108.
As you maybe have guessed via the license plate, I am in Turkey, found the car on the other end of the country, flew over, bought it and drove it home 800 miles. 99% faultless.
It has received a good service, new gaskets, a new head, was repainted a couple of months ago, will receive new wheels, an original radio and a new steering wheel.
despite being 45-50 years old depending on the model these W114/115 drive very very nice. The seats are surpremely comfortable, as is the suspension. You have disk brakes and hydraulic steering so in day to day traffic it is a breeze.
You could also have A/C, power windows and an automatic gearbox together with smooth straigh 6 engines.
Completely O/T here, but this is the forum with the most views so I'm dropping it in here. I started a post on "what is happening about JD Classics". The topic has been removed because "it is not the kind of topic we wish to see here". Is this now to become a sanitised and censured site? if so - include me out. It is a topic that interests many, but this may well be the beginning of a new and PC PH.

I am interested too... can't see why it would be removed. As far as I could tell there wasn't anything contentious in there.Gassing Station | Classic Cars and Yesterday's Heroes | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
